Port Costa Sanitary Commission
Since its formation in 2006, the Port Costa Sanitary Department has been overseen by a five-member Sanitary Commission that oversees sewer service in the town of Port Costa, appointed by the District Board to serve two-year terms. Commissioners must reside within Port Costa. They receive no compensation.
In the performance of its duties, the Port Costa Sanitary Commission has the authority to set policy, make and enforce regulations, regulate sewer use and construction, charge for services, incur expenses, and enter into contracts.
Commissioners are subject to the Conflict of Interest Code and must file Statements of Economic Interests required by the Fair Political Practices Commission.
