NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing was held on July 23rd at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting at 7 pm at the Crockett Community Center to consider an increase of the Sewer Use Charge (SUC).
The Crockett Sanitary District collects an annual Sewer Service Charge from each property connected to the Port Costa sewer system. The current rate is $2,345 ($195.42 per month). Annual Sewer Service Charges are billed on the Contra Costa County property tax bill.
The District conducts an annual detailed Sewer Use Charges Study (SUC) to review and address costs to provide reliable sewer service and to determine appropriate rate adjustments to continue to provide reliable service. The 2025 SUC proposed an increase for fiscal year 2025-26. Please note that these revenue increases are applicable to all customer classes.
The Board approved the recommended increase to $2,612 via Resolution 25/26-2.
