Since its formation in 2006, the Recreation Department has been overseen by a five-member Recreation Commission that oversees recreation service in the towns of Crockett and Port Costa, appointed by the District Board to serve two-year terms. Commissioners must reside within Crockett or Port Costa. They receive no compensation.
Commissioners are subject to the Conflict of Interest Code and must file Statements of Economic Interests required by the Fair Political Practices Commission.
